MEET THE DESIGNER

Growing up with a father who was a successful artist, Brinley Lardiere was introduced to the art world at an early age. After graduating from the University of Florida with a BFA in Graphic Design, Brinley began her career as a designer for an advertising agency in Florida’s capital. While in school, Brinley studied in London, England with Florida State University’s specialized European Graphics program, and again in Valencia, Spain on the Photography and Drawing program. A love for travel inspired her next stop in Orlando- traveling internationally and designing high-end concepts for cruise ports, resorts, and beach clubs in the Caribbean. At the same time, designing a fashion brand inspired by her travels and love for her father’s artwork was always on her mind. To gain experience in textile and clothing design, she moved to South Florida to work for a luxury travel apparel brand in Palm Beach, Island Company. She then became Art Director for a high-fashion swim and resort brand, Red Carter, in Miami Beach. Working with some of the best in the industry, she organized Red Carter’s annual runway show for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, and designed for Jessica Simpson’s swimwear line. After further studying Fashion Design at the Art Institute, Brinley moved to New York City, where she has worked as an Illustrator for Nine West, Anne Klein, Rachel Roy, and Jones NY, and as Senior Art Director for Vince, DVF, Via Spiga, and Franco Sarto footwear. She has also worked as Marketing Manager for cast member Heather Thomson, of Bravo’s hit tv show, the Real Housewives of NY, and her clothing brand Yummie By Heather Thomson. In 2009, she fulfilled her dream of starting the Lardiere Collection by launching a line of scarves, inspired by her father’s artwork, and together they have created the LARDIERE brand. Brinley lives and works in Manhattan, where she is constantly inspired by the bold fashion scene and the vivacious energy of the city.
